Received a phone call, telling me where I had been approved for a credit card, giving me a approval code from a representative. Then she stated that a supervisor would be calling to confirm the approval code. After giving him my checking account # and routing #, I got off the phone and didn't feel very good about it.
I looked on the internet and that's where I found that it was a ripoff. I immediately called my bank, they put a freeze on my funds and the next day I had to go down and close the existing account which I had for 2 years and open up a new one.
What I think that bothers me most is that I told the supervisor I was uncomfortable about giving him my information and he started quoting me Bible Scriptures and telling me how I need to trust and forget about the past.
