Reign International - Scentura
Reign International Commercial Wholesale - Scentura Creations ripoff Did not pay for 4 days of work, requesting refund of $600 for perfume

During the four days I worked for this company, I found out that this company is fraudulently advertising in the classifieds.

This company is actually a distributor of Scentura perfumes. Scentura is an Atlanta based perfume company that runs a pyramid sales scheme. (This is according to a ruling of the Appellate Court Of Illinois, Second District, see attached article)

Some of the ads posted by this company include:

Receptionist needed, no experience necessary, will train, start immediately (909) 625-0983 -or-

Customer Service/Assistant Manager Must enjoy working with the opposite sex (909) 625-5355

Scentura sells imitation perfume to distributors across the country. All distributors must sign independent contractor licenses stating that the parent company is not liable for anything illegal or unethical that the distributors do.

There is no MANAGEMENT/RECEPTIONIST/CUSTOMER SERVICE position available with this company (as they fraudulently advertised). When I arrived for training, the company wanted me to:

-sell perfume to my family and friends,
-sell perfume in parking lots illegally without a business license, and
-lie to customers that this perfume was authentic when it is an imitation.

There was NO office work involved with this company.

It is a 100% commission job.

I did not find this out until Day 4.

They trick you into selling for them under the pretense that it is part of training.

The managers of this particular business, Kayla Moffett and Rosie Portillo were incredibly deceitful, and lied throughout the entire interview as well as my four days with the company.

For example, they promise that once you complete the training you will make $52,000 per year as a "manager" with this company. But the only thing you will be doing is opening up your own office (like they have) and gain employees/customers by fraudulently advertising for Customer Service/Receptionist/Management Jobs in the paper, (like they have done in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin 2041 E 4th St Ontario, CA 91764-2605 Phone: (909) 987-6397) and scam people into buying what is essentially, imitation perfume.

Scentura Distributors survive by advertising the same deceitful advertisements every week. The RECEPTIONIST/MANAGEMENT/CUSTOMER SERVICE positions above which are advertised in classifieds week after week, will NEVER be filled, because frankly, they don't
exist. Every week this particular Scentura distributor, who operates under the name of Reign International, will advertise seeking new "employees/suckers".

Every week, new, young adults will answer these deceitful ads and be promised a management position at a later date after initial training', which lasts several weeks. This initial training' involves selling perfume in parking lots and door to door to business illegally without a peddler's permit. I personally know of one individual, by the name of Brandon, who received a ticket for selling this perfume on the street.

The vast majority find out this is a scam and quit within the first two weeks, those who stay get a percentage of the sales of the new recruits and help train them. Eventually a person can open his own office WITH HIS OWN MONEY, and begin to place ads in the classifieds, to start this scheme all over again. The person who initially hired this new office manager gets a percentage of his sales. A classical pyramid scheme, as the Illinois Second District ruled.

Every week Scentura distributors lure young adults by these deceptive advertisements. There are many news articles about Scentura available on the internet. They waste a lot of people's time, gas (driving to Wal-Mart to peddle perfume) and hard earned money by deceiving them into thinking that they now have a "real job" and then when they quit, they run the same scam on a brand new set of innocent individuals looking for work. These people could be spending their valuable time looking for a real, bona-fide job instead of wasting a whole week or more with Reign International or any other Scentura distributor.

The crux of my complaint involves a "contest" that was announced on the first day of training. I had family members help me to win one of their "contests" in which you sell perfume to family and friends in hopes of winning first place and getting a cash bonus. (Is this a job or a game show) Well, I went along with it and talked my family and friends into buying $600.00 worth of this worthless perfume. When I researched this company on the internet and found out that they are essentially "crooks". I decided not to distribute the perfume to friends and relatives, instead I want to return all 30 bottles of perfume for a FULL REFUND by Reign International.

I am in the process of contacting Reign International about receiving a refund right now, and, if they comply, I will be more than happy to post on this report for all to see that they were cooperative and returned my money.

However, if they decide not to comply, I will be distributing this report to as many people and businesses as possible who have dealings with this company.
