Very confusing check out

I have spent the last three days attempting to order from ulta.com.
First of all they have numerous promotions claiming free shipping and/or items yet, when you try to checkout they do not populate as such. I prefer to shop on line for it's ease and convenience. Plus, have you ever been in store at Ulta during the holidays? It's a zoo. I called corporate to address one of the issues I was having and although they could not fix it they were very polite and offered me a $10 in store coupon. Okay... But, when I attempted to check out and take advantage of the free shipping for orders over $25 AND the free wine glasses and ice bucket it wouldn't let me. During my conversation with corporate she assured me that both promotions were qualifying and should work on line. They didn't. It kept telling me to spend another $15 (my order was already $35) and I could take advantage of free shipping. Also, cyber Monday had an Ulta clutch with 14 samples in it that was also free with a $35 purchase. Again, not in my cart. I called corporate on 3 more occasions and have spent far too much time on hold and have not spoken to a rep. Since the first time 3 days ago. I have yet to place an order and... Now my shopping cart tells me they are out of stock on the "free" wine glasses and bucket. I recently placed a Victorias Secret order. Two as a matter of fact! Check out was a breeze and free items and promotions were available and I was done in seconds. Ulta should seriously rethink their on line check out procedure.
