Just now 1/13 at 9:15 am received a phone call to my cell phone from a gentleman with "CPS" some publishing place supposedly and the number showing up that he was calling from was 256-712-3040. He said I'd signed up to win a $500.00 sonic gift card on line somewhere and I informed him I did not. He asked if I was single, married, divorced, engaged. I told him I wasn't comfortable answering that. He asked my age range. I said 36 and up. Wanted to know my year of graduation. I said "many years ago." He asked if I was enrolled in college. I said I attended. He mentioned some magazine subscriptions and I said I wasn't signing up for anything. He promptly transferred me to some "guessology" where I was given automated system and 'chance to win 50,000.00.' right! I hung up. If I get charged for this scam, which I hung up on, I will pursue this with a vengence. These scammers need to get a real life with a real job. Posting this for others to see. Don't press any buttons, just hang up if you get a call like this.
