I had clicked on a pop-up while surfing the internet promising a Walmart $250 gift card if I filled out a customer survey - it actually looked like a legit Walmart website - logo and all.in the survey I was asked to give my cell phone # to confirm and reserve my gift card and while doing so I unknowlngly subscribed myself to Guessology services for $10/mo (although I still do not know what their services are except billking innocent people out of money). As soon as I confirmed my cell#, I received a text message notifying me of the subscription and if I wished cancel immediately or at anytime to text my cancellation back to them which I did immediately - to which they aknowledged with another text message - so I thought until I received my cell phone bill yesterday. The $10 charge was still there.
I called Guessology customer service and after explaining the whole situation to them, they refused to give me a refund but did cancel future service (or so they said). I actually had to contact my cell phone provider (US Cellular) to block the service and get the charges reversed. Guessology is nothing but a scam company run by internet con people - they train their customer service people to deny any refunds and they continue to charge unknowing customers without legal authorization. There should be class action suits brought against them and they should be criminally prosecuted for fraud.
