Two young college age young men approached my home selling magazines as a means of fundraising for an overseas college trip. The magazines subscriptions were to be selected by and sent to military soldiers at various facilities, in which I was shown a list to select from. I thought this was a nice way to support our troops and to help these college students... Don't be fooled! They will name drop some of your neighbors names, and tell you that they also have contributed... Do not buy from anyone you do not personally know for any reason... They lied to my neighbor telling her I had supported 8 troops! I became aware of this shortly after I wrote a check... These guys are dropped off in your area by a driver who rides the area with several other groups that they drop off. We have a description of a burgandy van in our Spanish Fort, Al area with a Georgia license plate. The amount on the customer copy does not match the amount on the check I wrote. When I became suspicious, I went online to research the marketing company and that's when I found that they are not a legitimate magazine sales company at all...
