For the first time, I decided to try Walmart.com and never will again. I was interested in purchasing a TV for a special occassion. I checked several places and thought that I would give them a try. I check the web site and told me that a local store had the model in stock. I made the purchase. I was told that I could pick it up w/in 7 days. My account was charged. Two days later, I recv'd an email saying that they cancelled the order.

I again re-ordered it for delivery to another local store that had it in stock. I went to use the same charge card & a big red banner denying the sale flashed accross the screen—why I do not know, since the only charge on the card was the previous $317. I attempted using another card which had a $237 balance, so I figured to use the credit. No dice. Again, the red banner appeared denying the sale. I made, with success (so I thought) a third attempt using my ATM Debit card, since there is a substancial balance. Well, about 30 min. Later, I recv'd a call from Walmart's billing Dept. Stating that my bank needed my authorization.in all my vast experiences as a 'professional on line shopper & website rater", I have never heard anything like it. Well, the conferences call (3), there were THREE of them, resulted in authorization-or so I thought.

In the interim, I checked my 1st card only to find that Walmart still had my original $317! I was transferred to customer service and spoke to an arrogant, condesending person called Mike. Mike had the worst tone of voice with BIG attitude! Every time I tried to explain my frustrations, he spoke over me. Remember, they called ME! I told him that I have never shpped at Walmart (honestly) and my experiences were so bad, I would never again use walmart.com. This from a woman who shops online professionally—everything from groceries, pet supplies, wine, etc. You name it, I could tell you the best site.in any case, he proceeded to explain the process of online shopping. That because I was picking it up in the store, it was probably sold. Why then do they clearly state it is IN STOCK and available for pick up within 7 days? After several minutes of his attitude, I asked to speak to a manager. I actually timed it, 12 minutes later, he gets back on the phone and tells me that a manager will not be available for 30 to 40 minutes! When I told him I would continue to hold, he sounded disappointed. Again, worst service and experience ever!
