I went in the store to purchase a sewing machine. The one I wanted was on display, but the item was not on the shelf. I asked for help and was told I needed to go to the electronic dept and ask the cashier to radio for assistance, I did, she said she would and she directed back to the aisle of the sewing machine. I waited for 15 minutes, no assistance yet. I went to the front of the store to customer service and waited on line for 15 minutes. I asked if the brother project runway 20 stitch was in stock. The cashier told me I needed to go back and note the upc code.
Are you serious? I provided a model# and maker, but you can't search to see if its in stock? Ridiculous! I went back got the upc and now they tell me the item is an online item. I say the item the item is on display. Then the mgr tells me the store only stocks merchandise on an as need basis. What does that mean, special order, uh? She asks me If I could come back the next day and check. Yeh, I should drive 22 miles to check back.
I then pick a more expensive sewing machine to buy, wait in line for 45 minutes to find out that the Walmart system does not allow you a temp card with proper ID. 21/2 hours in this store to get kicked in the butt. This was an awful experience. I am new to the Walmart arena, and this location has made me reluctant to buy again from a Walmart and I will call to cancel my new account card.
This location, needs to be coached in delivering good customer service and have get updated software to let the consumer know if the product is available.
