I was a manager with VERIZON for 19 years. Because I wanted to report workplace violence, my boss, Susan McAdams, had me ousted.

When I first reported the violent emplolyee to my boss and told her I wanted to call security, she told me that she would have her boss (Jack) fire my ass if I did!
Continued violence prompted my continued reporting to my boss and her continued threats to my job security. She was located about 60 miles away and did not experience working with a very violent employee.

In addition, there were other unethical practices that were taking place that my boss wanted swept under the carpet.

My health began to suffer from the constant "abuse" by my boss... Threats, etc. I was on tranquilizers, blood pressure medicine and anti-depression medication... All because my boss was threatening to fire me for wanting to uphold the company practices and report workplace violence.

I was called to her office for a "very important job." I was there for three days. While there, with NO important job, her favorite manager and friend, Phil Jordan, came to my office on Long Island. He had a locksmith break into my office and desk.

To make a long story short... I was later accused of having porn on my company computer. Funny how this happened AFTER Jorden got into my office!

Things finally broke and security did get involved, as did the ethics department (or, should I say, UNethics department)! I was then involved in an on the job MVA and was out of work 6 months. When I came back I was put on PAID ADMINISTRATIVE LEAVE while they investigated the alleged porn on my PC. I was to be out about 2 weeks but this turned out to be 10 MONTHS! Why? Because my boss and her "team" knew that there was a force reduction coming. If they put me into the force reduction it would look like I was ousted for business reasons rather than because I wanted to report violence, etc. My boss even changed the ACTUAL MVA report to a lie against me after she learned that I filed EEOC charges against her. I thought it was illegal for one to retaliate for reporting to the EEOC? But then I have to remember... My boss is unethical and, as she told me many times, she loves to retaliate and get revenge.
So here I sit... Still unable to find suitable work. Why? Because I wanted to uphold moral and ethical standards in my company and my boss opposed that kind of thinking.
