I was working part time for PetCo, store #888. I would come in every Saturday night till close and every Monday. I work another job at an animal shelter. I wanted additional experience so I chose PetCO.in which, I did like working there until May 31.
I was sick that day but I decided to come in anyway and try to stick it out. I never call out nor have I ever been late. About an hour and a half into work, I started to get extremly sick. I got really hot and I was about to pass out. I went to the Manager that was on duty (Gregg). I told him that I had to go home. He said, "what"? I said I have to go home, I am really sick. He then said, "if I go home I'll get three points". When I asked why he said, "because I'm tierd of all the bullshit around here". When I asked what bullshit and explained that I never leave or call out or anything; he said, "if you leave you are getting three points and I will probaly not schedule you again". He said, "it's your choice, leave and you don't have a job or stay". So I said that I was leaving. He then said, "give me your shirt".in which, I was wearing this shirt. What was he going to have me do, take it off then??? I told him that this was my shirt. I had bought my own. So then he said, "well give me your badge". So he got that.
No one deserve's to be treated like this. Especially an employee who comes to work on time and never calls out. Just check my record, your'll see.
I am not the only person that Gregg has mistreated. He made one girl cry when he first started a month ago so she quite. He made another girl w/a disability stay an hour and a half past her shift. Over the weekend he kept us all past 11:00 P.M. Then he wouldn't give me my check. On Monday, the phone was ringing and he was in fish. He had to answer it because the cashier was backed up. He said, "don't the cashier know how to answer the f@#*ing phone". Their were customers around when this was said too.
All this guy does is sit in his office and go outside and smokes. What gives him the right to mistreat the employees? Especially when their doing their jobs.
Please held get rid of this bad manager!!!
