I joined Prison Call Solutions after searching for cheaper methods of communicating with my loved one who is incarcerated. After viewing their website, which I assumed to be legitimate, I signed up for 3 months of service. I was so excited about their advertisement that I did not even think of viewing the cancellation / refund tab. I received a local number as they stated I would and the number worked when I made a test call. However, whenever GTL would attempt to contact me on the number for me to accept all accrued charges, my phone would ring but I would not be connected with GTL. I contacted GTL and when I provided them with the number, I was told that I had to provide my last phone bill and a utility bill, which was forged from Prison Call Solutions. After seeing that the address listed on the bill did not exist, I decided to cancel my account. When I contacted PCS, they informed me that I could not be reimbursed since the number worked and they supposedly did everything on their end. After I threatened to seek legal action if I was not issued a partial refund, they agreed to refund 14.95, which I highly doubt they will do. This company is nothing but a scam, and it's a shame that such companies can get away with such acts.
