I booked a hotel room for my aunts and I through Expedia. When we got to the hotel, we found that Expedia had never checked with hotel to find out whether it actually had a room available and that, in fact, they had been booked up long before I made the reservation. The credit card had already been charged for the non-existent room, no one would answer the Expedia customer service line, and we were stranded at 10 o'clock at night with no hotel room.
