I purchased a 32 oz. Coffemate Pumpkin Spice Creamer in the dairy section because it was on sale for $2.99 a good deal. As i was walking to my car i was reading my receipt and realized it rang up as the full price of $3.61. So i went back in and went to the customer service desk. The manager on duty at 9:31 that day came to the desk and asked if he could help me. He had a price gun in his hand so i assume he was going around the store confirming items were ringing up correctly. I explained that i beleived the creamer rang up incorrectly so he asked me where I got it and i told him in the dairy section.
After a while he came back and told me that it was actually $3.61. I was surprised because i was so sure it was on sale. But i left it at that and went home. Well it kept bothering me that he said it was $3.61 because i used to work for Kroger and i know how to read a tag so I went back later on and low and behold, i was right it was on sale for $2.99. I wasn't going back in there to get something for free when i first disputed the price of the creamer. All i wanted was to be charged the correct price of $2.99 and given back the difference between the full price and the sale price. I did take my receipt back and got my money back but that is not the point to this. I am furious that he lied to me. He lied because he thought i was just a dumb consumer who would never know the difference. I will never trust another manager again that works for Kroger especially store #758. I will do my own price checks and take the whole tag to the customer service desk where i know i wont be lied to because the proof is in the tag.
