Juvenue anti wrinkle cream appeared as a "pop in" editorial advertisement to "free trial for 30 days" for cost of $2. The editorial boasted of the combined effects of using both Juvenue and Hydroxatone creams at the same time and had a linkage to both sites to trial for 30 days at only $2 each. There was no mention of further payments to be made from the credit card used for the $2 payments.
I received the Hydroxatone first probably about 10 days after ordering of which there was a "Statement; This is not a Bill" with the product and small product card, so I just put it in my drawer along with the cream.
The Juvenue cream came about a week later with no accompanying paperwork at all. I also put that product in the drawer and thought when I have time to read the card it may tell me how to use the creams in conjunction with each other.
I had no idea there was any time factor in cancelling any orders until I checked my credit card statement and I found that Juvenue had taken out $84 forteen days after the date I did the initial internet order and another payment had gone out again for Juvenue forteen days after that. I only found out about the second payment after ringing the bank and requesting an unauthorised payment had been made. The bank has made note of these and will endeavour to get the monies refunded but I don't hold much hope.
I then cancelled my credit card at that same time.
Hydroxatone was about to debit my card after 30 days from date of initial order some $69.95 but that had not happened perhaps because it was the weekend, so I have sent them an email cancelling everything and advising them I had posted their product back to the address on the statement P.O. Box 9300, Jersey City, NJ0703.
Have finally got onto Juvenue by phone Sydney 02 91912787 and after hanging on for 45 minutes with tape saying we will speak to you soon, the call was diverted to USA. The person I spoke to was not willing to give me a Return Merchandise Authorisation number as it was past 14 days since initial date of order. All she would do is credit my card $34.76 and cancel my account. She would not tell me where to send back the unopened product telling me it is too late, and come to think of it the credit of $34.76 probably wont go through either cos I have cancelled the credit card!!!
This has proved to be an expensive mistake.
