I returned a gift I received from my 81 year old mother to our Sears store in Hot Springs, Arkansas 5 days after she purchased it. It was a rechargeable / 12 volt inflator that did not hold a charge, plus, I had to hold the power button down just to get it to work. Upon returning the item to the store, the sales person I talked to said that if I did not have the receipt, that there was nothing he could do. I got the item as a GIFT. She paid CASH for it 5 days prior. Idid not want anything but to EXCHANGE it for one that worked. He stated that" how do we know you didn't get it a year ago and you're just now bringing it back in?" To imply that I would lie so that I could exchange a new product is absurd. I will continu to tell this story to others and will refuse to shop at the Sears store in Hot Springs Arkansas
