Living in maine LLbean is a place all mainers go to know when they shop for an item that it's going to last for many years and when it does start to fail you can bring it back to beans to have you item replaced.
Now as a mom I want to buy my kids winter stuff to know that there going to be warm wet free and I'm worry free. Not the case I bought my kids there winter wear to only find them wet when they get home. I sent back my sons items cause I was able to find him other items at local stores for the rest of the season. As for my little girl I couldn't find any thing so I had to keep using the winter jackets and snow pants. When I returned my sons items I talked to a worker and I told her my problems she said no worrys just return when you can that is what the LL bean return is there for. So when I returned my little girls items just 3 weeks ago customer service call me and told me that the clothing damage is do to normal wear and tear. Ok the snow pants and jacket where dirty with fine dirt but that is no reason for them to leak all winter. I was told I could no longer return with out receipt and I will be getting there warranty letter in the mail this was the last time they would return items like this. None of these items looked old last year items of even 5 years old. I had good reasons to return these items. The man on the phone was so very rude to me he wanted to send my money back in a gift card. Well after my luck with many items having to go back do to poor make I am done with LLbean. How dare they charge $ so over priced and start to fall back on there word on what you can return and why. I find there products just failing more and more. Its sad I have grown up having bean things and now I find my kids will not do the same thing.By by beans.
