Whatever you do, do not ever get a prepaid debit card from bank freedom!!! I loaded the card, never used the card & someone found my card & charged $1000 to a hotel. I contacted the customer service number. The foreign girl tells me that she will put a block on the card, but to call the fraud dept. On Monday because it is a holiday. When I call back on Monday, I wait on hold for approx 20 minutes. I am told that I will receive a fraud affidavit. I wait 12 days, still no mail. I call again & I receive the letter 7 days later. After faxing the letter I call 3 days later and I am told that they are seperate company from Bank Freedom & that Bank freedom hired them to do their disputes, but if I want a provisional credit to talk to bank Freedom.

I am then given a number for the provisional credit dept. Which consists of a number to a foreign man's mailbox. He never answers. Finally after calling 10 times, I get through & he tells me that he will e-mail me a form for provisional credit. I fill all this out, go to my bank to have it notarized & have it faxed back. After 3 days I call again, reminding them that my cardholder agreement states that I will receive provisional credit with 10 days from notifying them of the error.

I am told that I will get a call back. 3 more days go by, no call. I call again & get the head a*hole's name, Collin Perry. I call him, leave him a message, no call back. I call and ask to speak to a supervisor & I am told he is out to lunch. So finally this guy calls me back & tells me that he will not be giving me provisional credit at all. I read the terms of my cardholder agreement to him. He goes on to tell me that he doesn't care, he is not honoring the cardholder agreement. I tell him that this is a large sum of money that has been stolen from me.& it has been almost a month since I have called. He goes on to tell me that he is closing my account, and that Mastercard can settle the dispute. Let's see if i ever get my money back. I will be hiring a lawyer for a class action settlement if my money is not returned to me. Not to mention, my card has a temporary hold for gas & a balance for which I better be receiving a check for. He is the rudest person that I have ever dealt with in all of my life. This company is the worst I have ever dealt with in my life. They should not be allowed to provide prepaid cards. Mastercard & Visa should shut them down.

Whatever you do, do not, I repeat do not give these people your money. If your card is ever lost or stolen they will treat you like a criminal & will not honor fdic guidelines or their cardholder agreement. If you are ever victimized, they will write you off & tell you to get lost. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! They assume that you are poor & a criminal if you use their card, that says a lot about them!!! They treat people awful & they should be out of business.
