There was this boy in the swimming pool with us that we know in our neighborhood who we don't know, but we like to tease him sometimes me and my friend Gino. This boy can't swim and lied to us about not being able to swim, so he grabbed a board to keep him floating in the deepend. I knew that he was too embarrassed to admit he cant swim so my friend was as well. My friend dared me to grab the board from him when he was in the deepend and he started drowning and asking for help. The lifeguard pulled him out of the water and told us to leave the pool and we could not get a refund. Not only that he said we were banned for the rest of summer. How can what we have done be dangerous. The lifeguard was right there and it is his job to protect the swimmers and if he drowned it would be his fault for not supervising the pool, we knew they would help him if he can't swim. We just wanted to teach this kid a lesson not to lie and if he admitted he could not swim we would not have pulled the board from him. When before we took the board from him he told us he was ten and he should have been supervised by a parent cause he is a non swimmer. Not our fault and I only grabbed the board because Gino dared me to and to teach this boy he should not be lying because it is dangerous. Finally he admitted he can't swim and we made him cry so it was sort of worth it. The pool rules say children under 12 should be supervised by an adult unless they passed the swim test so his parents should not have left him unsupervised because he was under 12. Gino and I were just making sure they were following the rules by asking him his age. I don't think this is fair that we got into trouble for something and his parents broke a rule, he lied and he did not get into trouble. He and his parents should get into trouble as well for not following rules and he should have been kicked out as well. We managed to get back in after hiding in the changeroom as long as we stayed away from the lifeguard stand.
