Here's my review of the first, last and only time dealing with Chase Bank. Today at about 2pm, 645 William Floyd Pkwy in Shirley NY I used one of they're ATM machines. I put the card in made a $40 withdrawal out of my savings and waited for my cash, needless to say it never came! The screen said unable to dispense cash yet withdrew $43 anyways. So I walked into the bank told them what happened, they looked at the machine saw it was not dispensing cash and said OK we will fix this for you. They asked me for my Chase account number so they could give me my money, problem was I was not a member. They're tone instantly changed and so was they're resolution for fixing the problem. They told me being since I am not a member that I had to go through my own bank, place a claim and "HOPEFULLY" i will get my money back. I said "2 seconds ago you were gonna hand me the $40 you owed me due to your machine failing now your basically telling me I am out of luck? How is this my problem? Its your equipment that failed why am I being punished cause I am not a member? I am owed $40 give me my cash and you deal with it since it was YOUR system that failed and 2 seconds ago you were about to hand me the money you owed me!" I marched out in a cursing rage from the unprofessionalism, and attitudes given to me on the matter and left.
Well needless to say its now my problem, I am gonna have to wait god knows how long to get my money back and what is more fun is I had to pay a $3 service fee for which I got none of. This is one bank I will never consider using now. This place takes no accountability for its actions or failing equipment but what do you expect from a place that just took $400 billion from the tax payers, I guess its time to start nickel and diming the little guy like me.
