Went to cheezecake factory with 2 12 year old skaters in boise id. Everyone has always said this is an awesome place to eat. It may be, but i had a bad experience i want to share. We didn't have a long wait (good), but as an appeitizer we ordered onion rings, and taquitos. The onion rings were basically raw, the batter fell off in hunks. The taquitoes were terrible, both left grease on our hands. The girls ate the taquitoes thankfully, but i would have sent them back. The salsa and guacamole were bad! Quac was dry, with hunks of avacado. The manager came and said, yes it was undercooked (uh, i don't send any onion items back mostly) and took it off. I didn't say anything about the taquitos since the kids ate them. One of the girls ordered 2 hamburger sliders with fries and the other spaghetti with meat sauce. I ordered terriyaki chicken and rice. My chicken came and it was black on the top (uh, was this a message?) and had about 2 1/2 cups of plain white rice with a little pepper (ughhh) thankfully the chicken tasted good after i peeled off the burnt. Kids spaghetti was bow tie pasta with sauce cooked in it, and was SOO dry and horrible. I tasted it, neither child would eat it. They ended up sharing the slider and fries. The fries were very good. So, we take the cheeze cake to go - red velvet and coconut. I gave the waitress $40 and a $25 gift card. She never came back (we never had water refills either). The kids got 24 oz shirley temples that cost $7 a piece. (these are kids for gods sake!) they tasted good, however. Now what happens next is the LIVING END! Now, the waitress never came back after the $65 was given for a $53 bill. I finally got up, found a waitress and when "amber" came back, she seemed incredulous that i wanted money back! This would have been a $12 tip. She says "you people in alaska don't tip?" and my reply "well, i'm not tipping you $10 for a $53 dollar meal". So she brings me back $10 one dollar bills, not $12!!! If i hadn't had kids with me, it would've been ugly. So i figured she had the other 2 dollars, and i didn't leave her any more. I tipped the valet in vegas $2 every time he brought my car, at least 3-4 times a day for 6 days and bell service $10 several times. But i want you guys to know alaskans do tip! But the cheeze cake was not good, and it was the living end of a nightmare dinner experience. Never again!
