The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated
Yulk

I had the Teriyaki Chicken, my other half had the club sandwich and salad.

We got our beverages right away then the server disappeared for 15 minutes. Then we ordered and got our appetizer 20 minutes after that. I ordered a small salad and didn’t get it. We then were served dinner followed by cheesecake.

The chicken was dry like it was cooked, microwaved, chewy and rubbery. The kind of dry you could hear the dry when you chew and drink something before you swallow to ensure it doesn’t get stuck. There were three of the most thinly sliced chicken breasts I’ve ever seen. One normal sized chicken breast would have been sufficient. It sat on a pile of undercooked brown rice drowned in some kind of soy sauce. The chicken on one side tasted like lemon pepper and on the other it had? A sweet sauce which did not taste like Teriyaki. On top of that was burnt sesame seeds. They grilled pineapple on my plate didn’t have all of the edges cut off like the person who prepped was cutting and not paying attention and the plantain was covered in goo of some sort and burnt it was not good. The goo got on my fork and somehow up the fork on my hands and until I started to stick to everything I had to go wash my hands and return to dinner.

The club sandwich was ok. It looked impressively large with its three slices of lightly toasted white bread.in between those slices was a piece of cheese lots of lettuce a tomato and a couple of slices of meat. The salad had one skinny half slice of cucumber with a very small bitter green? Salad? Which they said was tossed in nonexistent salad dressing. This wasn’t served with mayo or mustard or any condiment. Just dry toast.

On to the sweet stuff. It’s the cheesecake factory so we thought surely we can get a good cheesecake. I wanted a strawberry sauce on the side because my other half doesn’t like strawberries. They don’t have a sauce they have actual strawberries which the waitress explained have some sugar goo that they add. MMMmMm, I’d had an experience with mystery goo on the chicken and plantains, that doesn’t sound appealing, so I passed.

So we get the cheesecake. It has a white cream layer on top with some whipped cream from a can swirled up as tall as the slice of cheesecake plain simple… Looks good.

The whipped cream was made from some kind of oil, seemed to have been sitting out and had a bad aftertaste. The white topping on the cheesecake eaten alone tasted like sour cream. The cheesecake itself didn’t taste like cream cheese. It was much lighter almost fluffy, like it was made with powder and milk and not cream cheese. Not at all what I expected. The graham crust was even disappointing. Like it was mixed with a butter substitute and too much of it.

The only thing I have to say that is nice was the building is beautiful. The colors work, the architecture, windows, floors, atmosphere were fantastic and it was clean.
