E;BUYer Beware-victim me - $425 (rio rancho)
I wish I read this before I went to meet "Danny" and give him $300.
Danny met me at cottonwood home depot. He bought a soda and verifies that there is "$ 423.77" on it. I saw the card is not gift card. It is Home depot store credit card. I ask the cashier if I can use the card to buy gift card. She said yes. That means I can get $400 on new gift card that can't go wrong. Unfortunately, she was wrong and Home depot system does not allow store credit to purchase gift card. I was there for 30 min that MGR on duty, Ralph Baca declares I can't get gift cards. I explain to him that he put my money in danger. I would not pay Danny if the cashier said that I can't use store credit to buy gift card. He can't care less.
I was exhausted from not able to purchase gift card. I left store without purchase pest control. So we drove in I-40/Coors store. Chris scanned the card and credit is zero. Ralph Baca reviews the tape. Danny went back to the store when I was in the store and bought $425 stuff and wipe out my account. Chris calls the police to file the fraud. Police came and file report and ask me to find out who bought the items in the cottonwood store and scam me.
We went home and call cottonwood store. Ralph Caca is MGR on duty again. He is as cold as ever. He said police need subpoena to get the film footage. I was shocked. I call 1-800-266-3337 customer service for help. She said it is cottomwood Home depot mgr, roul Pavia duty to find out if I was scammed and recharge my cards. So, I call store back to talk to Mr. Pavia. He is very polite but he said it is Scott, the loss and prevention officer in Home depot to find out if I was scammed.
After a couple hours, we talked to Pavia again; he said that Danny and his girlfriend were stealing from home depot and returns them to get store credit. Both he and I were scammed, but he has no authority to recharge my card. I ask him where I shall go in home depot to file grievance. I am social security. I can't afford $3-400 loss. He said he will talk to his boss Jason Potter. I ask Mr. Potter's contact information. He denied.
After a while Mr. Pavia calls back, he said he feels sorry for me about my loss but he can only provide police support, he can't refund my money. I ask for grievance information, there is no response. He hang up the phone.
Please do not buy home depot store credit card. Or any gift card has been used. The seller could wipe u out just like Danny did to me.

The guy made arrangements with me and then when we get there doesn't answer the phone probably sold it to someone else. Or got scared when I told him he would have to meet at store to verify that there is money on this card (scam).
