Home Depot had a big power tool promotion in March of this year offering gift cards in amounts based on the amount you spent on thier power tool sale. We made the mistake of falling for this scam. We spent over $2000.00 on power tolls which according to thier offer earned us a $500.00 Gift Card.
Well, After waiting the 8 week period, we sent a e-mail to inquire the where abouts of our gift card. No response. My wife called the customer service line to inquire and was put on indefinite hold. Finally got to talk to a rael person and was told when we sent in rebate paperwork we were missing some items. The next day she was told that that gift card office had been moved to a new location and paperwork would have to be re-sent. The next day she was told that all of her paperwork was in and that they would process the gift card immediately. We received several confirmations by e-mail that it was in the progress stage.
After waiting several more weeks she contacted them by phone today and was told we would get no gift card due to us buying the tools from Home Depot on line and not going to the store to purchase them. I am confused! Did I or Did I not purchase the tools Home Depot had advertised in their flyer. I think I did.
This company is run by a roving bunch of con artists. They are making customers jump thru hoops and not paying out what they promise in thier advertisments.
Today we cancelled our Home Depot Account. It the Blue store down the road from now on.
