I was sold a used truck as NEW on July 8. They did'nt advise me about the fruad till 2 weeks later because they could not register the truck, since it was already registered to someone else.
The finance manager said he would send me a new contract with "used" status, sign it, and send back. He offered L.A. Dodger tickets for my troubles... Received contract next day, called manager that day and requested a 10% refund on the sale price, since it was a used truck. 10% based on depreciation. Because the owner was on vacation in Europe, no one was authorized to make such a deal. I would have to wait two weeks for them to decide what to do. Meanwhile they would make arrangement to pick up the vehicle because I live in Fresno, Ca. I was advised by the Los Angeles District Attorney Office to return the truck and get a full refund. I did finally contact the owner, Paul, and only offered $1000 in parts, or return the truck. I returned the truck on August 6. I was told in a written statement that a check for $20,000 would be sent overnight August 8. Today is August 10, and no check...
