I check with multiple dealerships to find the best deal in town. I call them and ask for the best price on the vehicle. Dallas Dodge beat everyones quote by $2000 which I thought was a great deal. I then let them know that I would be on my way.
When I arrived I let the salesman know who I was and that I wanted to see the truck and finish my deal. He brought the truck and it was not the same MSRP truck, it was cheaper... He tried to tell me that this was the truck quoted.
I then showed him the email he sent me with the stock number and VIN that he quoted on. He apologized and brought me the actual truck. We went in to finalize the deal. When the buyers order came out the price that they quoted me was at the top then I noticed a $1895 ad package to this price.
He explained that this is some thing that is added to every truck on the lot and could not be taken off. I then told him that I wanted to see the GM. He let me know that the GM was not in that day and that he would talk to his sales manager.
His sales manager came out and told me very rude like that I could buy his truck as it sat or buy a cheaper model. I told him I would go and buy from his competition at Dodge City of McKinney, who warned me about the add package in the first place.
As I got up the manager folowed me out and said he would do the deal he quoted in the first place. I went back in signed all paperwork and then went into finance. Once in that office I again noticed a add on fee. A $1995 paperwork fee. I immediatly got up and left.
They said that they were $2000 cheaper just to get me out there. They will and try to add this money back on to the truck. I find this very deceptive. They should tell you about this up front. Before you come out.
Beware of Dallas Dodge and their deceptive lying... I did purchase a truck from a Josh Barnett at Dodge City in McKinney. He was up front with his pricing and it didnt change upon arriving at his dealership. Stay Away for Dallas Dodge...!!!
