After buying an Explorer from Hayes Auto Sales in 2004 and having great results, when, in 2011 I was ready to buy another Explorer my choice of dealers was obvious.
So I paid $11,367 for a 2005 Sportrac and was promised a refund of $304 of the DMV fees since I planned on registering the truck in Arizona. The truck was paid for with a cashiers check on July 8.
In early August I opened the envelope from CA DMV expecting to find the title I would need to so register the truck, but to my suprise the envelope contained an old pink slip naming an unknown person along with a bunch of other paperwork.
CUTTING TO THE CHASE as of October 16 I still do NOT have my money after numerous assurances that my check "WAS IN THE MAIL". Simply put, avoid these guys like the plague.
