When the TV ad showed "The Amazing Pocket Chair" I thought it was a good idea, so I jotted down the website and went to my computer and ordered it. Somehow, I am now $21.79 poorer and have no pocket chair. The order did arrive quickly, but I sent it back just as quickly. The safety lock fastener at the bottom was impossible to fasten. Try as I might, I could not slip the tabs into each other because they were welded stiffly so that the tabs would not move into the grooves.
The TV ad and the website urge you to get a "free" chair, just pay P&H. So, I ordered one chair for $14.99 plus P&H of $7.99, and agreed to get a "free" chair just pay the additional $7.99 P&H. While placing the order, you get pop-up screens trying to get you to agree to 2 more, plus 2 more, for a total of 6 chairs, just pay additional P&H charges, which I declined. Of course, their return policy is 30-day money back minus P&H.
This company's practice of charging double P&H when there is only one package, is unfair. Both pocket chairs were included in one box. I cannot imagine it costing them more than it cost me to mail that box back. Not only that, they stand to make money from customers because their P&H charges for extra items are not refunded if all items are returned.
I received my refund of $14.99, but no refund on the original $7.99 or the additional P&H of $7.99 for the "free" chair which I returned, plus it cost me $5.81 to mail the package back, all charged to my credit card. This was my first experience with buying from a TV ad, and will probably be my last. The "Amazing" part of the deal is that I learned to be very wary of TV ads.
