I have a Belk credit card that I pay online. I have never had a balance over $400 at any one time. Every month I pay more than the payment due and my balance doesn't seem to be decreasing. Here's why. The payment is due in the 23rd of each month. I pay it on the last working day of the previous month when I get paid. I called Belk and the lady that I talked to was rude and said that I can't pay early like that, I have to pay within the billing cycle. I told her that I am paying more than is due each month and early and I want those charges reversed. She said, "I will see about reversing one month but I am not going to argue with you, sir." So, you pay late fees if you pay your Belk charge card too early. How convenient a rip-off is this one? I am curious to see if anyone else has had this experience. I had previously filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. They have until August 1 to answer it.
