Out of the clear blue sky, I received a letter from Elan Financial Company, PO Box 108, St. Louis, Mo., indicating that I owe them $1,016.91 on their credit card and that the account is past due and I should pay them $85 immediately.
I have never heard of Elan Financial Company, nor have I ever applied for a credit card from them. I have never received a statement from them. I do have credit cards from big banks and American Express. I do not do business with financial companies.
