The cardmember site myaccountaccess.com carries the footer "© 2026 Elan Financial Services" and states that Elan Financial Services is the creditor and issuer of the cards it services. Elan's corporate website is elanfinancialservices.com, with a privacy-correspondence address at Commerce Court, 4 Station Square, Suite 620, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. U.S. Bancorp's June 12, 2025 release refers to "U.S. Bank's ... Elan Financial Services (E.D. Pa.) on January 22, 2025 is described as including U.S. Bancorp. No separate legal-entity name or registration number for Elan was found on the pages checked on October 26, 2026. BBB, Trustpilot and the CFPB lookup are described under Complaint record. This page makes no overall rating of the company.

Elan credit card problems: who to call, where to dispute, and what to send (checked October 26, 2026)

Elan says its cards are "Fully branded to your bank or credit union" and that "Every interaction is delivered under your financial institution's brand" (Cardmember Support page). The cardmember site at myaccountaccess.com says on its login page: "The creditor and issuer of this card is Elan Financial Services, pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc. or Mastercard International Incorporated." Check your statement for the issuer line and the servicing details.

Elan's own channels (cardmember Contact us page, opened October 26, 2026).

  • Phone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: 1-800-558-3424 in the U.S., 1-701-461-1922 from abroad; the page says relay calls are accepted. Technical help with the online account: 1-877-334-0460.
  • Payments by mail: Cardmember Service, P.O. Box 790408, St. Louis, MO 63179-0408. Overnight payments: Cardmember Service, 3180 Rider Trail S, Attn: 790408, Earth City, MO 63045.
  • Online: myaccountaccess.com (balance, payments, statements).
  • Elan's corporate contact page says: "For questions regarding your existing credit card account, please call 1.800.558.3424 or contact your local financial institution for assistance," and that its website is for prospective financial institution partners only. Its privacy policy gives 1-800-364-9648 for applicants.
  • Lost or stolen card: Elan's Cardmember Support page lists "lost or stolen cards" among the needs its 24/7/365 service team supports; use the 24/7 number above.

Disputing a billing error. The FTC's consumer advice says to send a written letter and to "Use the address given for billing inquiries, not the address for sending your payments," with your name, address, account number and a description of the mistake. It says the letter should reach the issuer "within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent to you," that the issuer must acknowledge it in writing within 30 days of getting it unless the problem has been resolved, and must resolve the dispute within 90 days. The cardmember Contact us page shows only the payment addresses above; no separate billing-inquiry address was found on the Elan pages checked on October 26, 2026, so look on your statement for that address.

If the problem is not resolved. The CFPB takes complaints about credit cards through its Submit a Complaint page (consumerfinance.gov/complaint/; the CFPB site shows (855) 411-2372). Because the card carries a bank or credit union name, say both that name and Elan Financial Services in the complaint. The BBB and your state attorney general are other routes.

Complaint record: BBB, Trustpilot, CFPB lookup and posts on this site

BBB (as displayed on October 26, 2026). The profile for ELAN FINANCIAL SERVICES, Cincinnati, OH (205 W 4th St) shows a BBB rating of A+ and says the business is not BBB Accredited. The complaints tab shows 1,956 complaints in the last 3 years and 364 in the last 12 months; the reviews tab shows 1.11 out of 5 stars from an average of 592 customer reviews. BBB states that its profile text comes from information provided by US Bank, and BBB's file for this listing was opened on May 10, 2022 (page data). Another BBB listing for Elan Financial Services (Troy, MI) appeared in BBB's search results and was not opened or combined here.

Trustpilot (as displayed on October 26, 2026). The page for www.elanfinancialservices.com is unclaimed and shows 1.2 out of 5 from 193 reviews, 65 of them in the last 12 months. Trustpilot says this company has not invited its customers to review, so reviews "may not be representative," and that it does not fact-check reviews. The first review shown on the page describes a fraudulent-charge dispute that the writer says had not been resolved after almost six months; reviews are consumers' accounts, not findings.

CFPB Consumer Complaint Database. On October 26, 2026 the database's company-name lookup returned no entry named Elan for the query "ELAN" (it returned unrelated names). A lookup for "U.S. BANCORP" returned one group-level entry; its totals are not shown here because they cannot be separated to Elan's card program. Complaints about Elan-serviced cards may be filed under the partner bank, credit union or U.S. Bancorp.

Posts on this site. 14 published complaint reports are linked to this profile. The linked posts were read in full for this page; the themes listed come from that reading and name only topics the writers raised: credit limit reductions, fees and promotional rates, disputed or unfamiliar charges and balances, letters or collection notices for accounts the writer did not recognize, and a service-call conduct complaint. Posts date from 2005 to 2026, and older ones name partner institutions (for example Riverview Community Bank and Resource One Credit Union) as the card brand. These are the posters' accounts, not findings, and the company's response to them was not sought.

Ulbrich v. Elan Financial Services, E.D. Pa. No. 2:24-cv-05419. Filed October 9, 2024 by David Ulbrich; CourtListener shows the cause as "28:1332(d)(5)(B) Diversity of Citizenship under CAFA" (the Class Action Fairness Act). The docket text does not state the claims. An amended complaint filed January 27, 2025 names Elan Financial Services and Financial Business and Consumer Solutions, Inc. as defendants. Elan filed a Rule 7.1 disclosure statement on January 22, 2025 described as "including U.S. Bancorp." A February 27, 2025 order raised a "potential consolidation issue" and states that interim class counsel and plaintiffs "should pursue actions against FBCS and FBCS customers in separate action." On March 20, 2025 the court granted a motion to stay all deadlines in this case and related cases until it rules on consolidation, and Elan filed an opposition to consolidation on April 11, 2025. The last filing shown on CourtListener (page updated September 14, 2026) is dated April 11, 2025. No ruling on consolidation or class certification appears in the entries read.

Other dockets. A CourtListener search for the case name "Elan Financial" run on October 26, 2026 returned 76 dockets, including federal suits and bankruptcy adversary proceedings with individual plaintiffs; the cause fields on the most recent federal entries cite the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Truth in Lending Act and Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They are individual allegations and are not described one by one here. No consumer class settlement with a final approval order was identified in the sources checked.

Who Elan Financial Services is and its link to U.S. Bank

Business. Elan's credit card page says: "Elan provides a turnkey credit card program for banks and credit unions across the United States," adding that "Elan takes on the credit risk and program development." The company says it has more than 1,300 bank and credit union partners, more than 50 years of experience and 33 million households served (company statements on its credit card and About Elan pages). Its About Elan page calls it "the leading agent credit card issuer in the country backed by the power of U.S. Bank."

U.S. Bank. The BBB listing used on this page says, according to information provided by US Bank, "Their division, Elan Financial, issues credit cards and provides credit card services." Elan's own pages do not say which U.S. Bank entity is the creditor; the cardmember site names Elan Financial Services as "the creditor and issuer of this card."

State attorney general, OCC and state banking department enforcement lists were not searched, so this page makes no statement about them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Elan Financial Services?

Elan says it provides "a turnkey credit card program for banks and credit unions across the United States" and takes on the credit risk and program development, with the cards "Fully branded to your bank or credit union." Its About page says it is backed by U.S. Bank, and a U.S. Bancorp release of June 12, 2025 calls it U.S. Bank's Elan Financial Services credit card program.

Is Elan Financial Services a bank, and which bank owns it?

Elan's pages describe it as an agent credit card issuer, not as a bank. The BBB listing used on this page says, per information provided by US Bank, that "Their division, Elan Financial, issues credit cards and provides credit card services," and the U.S. Bancorp release of June 12, 2025 names it as U.S. Bank's program. No separate legal-entity name for Elan was found on the pages checked on October 26, 2026.

What is the Elan Financial Services customer service phone number?

The cardmember Contact us page lists 1-800-558-3424 in the U.S. and 1-701-461-1922 from abroad, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with relay calls accepted. Technical support for the online account is 1-877-334-0460. Elan's corporate page says the same U.S. number is for questions about an existing account, or to contact your local financial institution.

Where do I mail an Elan credit card payment?

The cardmember Contact us page gives Cardmember Service, P.O. Box 790408, St. Louis, MO 63179-0408 for payments by mail, and Cardmember Service, 3180 Rider Trail S, Attn: 790408, Earth City, MO 63045 for overnight payments. These are payment addresses; the FTC advises sending billing disputes to the billing-inquiry address, not the payment address.

How do I dispute a charge or billing error on an Elan credit card?

The FTC says to send a written letter to the address given for billing inquiries, not the payment address, so that it reaches the issuer within 60 days after the first bill with the error was sent. The issuer must acknowledge the letter in writing within 30 days unless the problem has been resolved and must resolve the dispute within 90 days. No separate billing-inquiry address was found on the Elan pages checked on October 26, 2026; check your statement.

How do I report a lost or stolen Elan card?

Elan's Cardmember Support page lists "lost or stolen cards" among the needs handled by its 24/7/365 service team. The cardmember Contact us page gives the 24/7 number 1-800-558-3424 (U.S.).

Where can I file a complaint about Elan Financial Services?

The CFPB accepts complaints about credit cards at consumerfinance.gov/complaint/. Name both Elan Financial Services and the bank or credit union shown on your card. The CFPB's public database showed no company entry named Elan on October 26, 2026, so Elan-related complaints may be filed under the partner institution or U.S. Bancorp.

Has Elan Financial Services been named in a class action?

CourtListener shows Ulbrich v. Elan Financial Services, E.D. Pa. No. 2:24-cv-05419, filed October 9, 2024 and listed under the Class Action Fairness Act. The docket does not state the claims; deadlines were stayed on March 20, 2025 pending a ruling on consolidation, and the last filing shown is dated April 11, 2025. No class settlement with a final approval order was identified in the sources checked.

What is the U.S. Bank and Fiserv Credit Choice agreement?

A U.S. Bancorp release dated June 12, 2025 says U.S. Bank and Fiserv entered a partnership in which U.S. Bank's Elan Financial Services credit card program will be integrated into Fiserv's Credit Choice solution, with "full conversion of the portfolio by the end of 2025." Whether the conversion has happened was not confirmed on the pages checked on October 26, 2026.
