Platinum Protection came and did the sales pitch late at night and was here until 2:00 pm in the morning. When we got to signing the papers it was late and the sales person was telling us how tired he was and keep messing with his phone and he did not give us time to read the papers. He was pushing the papers pretty fast. But when he told us that we had a month to decide he took him at his word. He told us if it did not work out we could have it removed from our home no questions ask. They told the money out of our account 5 days later.
Two and half weeks later we called to ask it to be removed and the customer service told us that would be fine, but it would cost us $2500 to have it removed. I ask her what happened to the one month and she told us we had 3 days to cancel. I again told her what the sales person had told us and she said, " that she would let legal know what he had done and they would take care of it". I ask her how they could do this to people and make the people accountable for it and she told me she was sorry for the misunderstand, but we still have to pay if you want it removed. I then told her that we have been having problems with the unit in the bedroom. It has been making noise and the red box was coming on and staying on all the time. She told me she would check the box and she said it was fine. I told her that I was going to start to take pictures of it and log it and then I was going to call a attorney. She told me that she could send out a tech but when they find nothing wrong it will cost me $50.00.
When the sales person found out that we filed a complaint against him he called me and was yelling in the phone at me and finally I ask him why he was calling and saying these thing that are not true and also told him that it was not going to do any good here. I told him that three people was setting at the table with him that night and we all heard the same thing. I then ask him why he lied and I told him this was not doing either one of us any good and I wished him a good evening and hung up on him.
