Three people came to my door last night around 7pm, saying that they were in a private "public speaking" class, and doing a contest. They said they were selling magazines for 'points' to win a trip to Cancun for Spring Break. So, being the naive person I am, I believe them and purchased 2 magazine subscriptions that I was going to buy anyway, figured I'd help some people out while doing so! Needless to say, this morning I find out this is a SCAM... And I am in the process of trying to cancel my orders.
I called the company, and they told me that I could mail/fax my receipts, sign and date the back of the receipt and I'd get my checks sent back to me. If not, I'll pursue the issue.
Stick to purchasing your magazines through the magazine publisher itself.
These people can talk you into ANYTHING!!!
