I moved here in March and continued the trash service that the previious owner had with Davids Trash Service 10030 Fairmount Hwy. SE Fairmount, GA 30139 ph: 706-337-2506 and thought that I was dealing with a decent person but now I wonder if they even have a business license to conduct business as they do?
I had a builder doing an addition for me and he had his crew pile all the scraps and debris in a pile which he later came to pickup in his dump-truck, one of the workers threw a piece of trim and some unbagged trash in the cart and David C. Sent me my quarterly renewal for the regular trash service and wrote on the bill additional $15.00 for construction waste removal which was an outright LIE on his part but he saw a chance to gouge me and he did. I called him and told him that the builder brought a dump-truck and got all the debris and he rudely said that they threw some things in the cart and had a real attitude of rudeness about him. He has come by each week and acted like he had 'a chip on his shoulder' every time but his wife was always friendly. This man should not be dealing with customers with his attitude and disrespect for other people.
I got my bill in October and it had gone up and I asked him if it was a mistake and he said; "NO! Its no mistake, thats your new rate!" I was just asking because anyone in business that has any integrity about them will let their customers know that there will be an increase and the new rate will be the amount and when it goes into affect, rather than cause any hard feeling. I paid it and went on with my service. The very next invoice he sent to me was for yet a higher price again with NO EXPLANATION. So I wrote a check for the amount and on my invoice I wrote; "Hey David, was there an additional charge for someting?" and mailed it. Several days later, he picked up our trash and then on one evening I went out to take the trash and I found that our trash cart was missing? So I called David to inform him and he did not answer. So I left a message for him to call me, which he never returned? Each day I called and he would not answer so I left several messages asking him to call me because some sneaking coward had sneaked in at dark and stole the trash cart and I wanted to talk to him before calling the Sheriff's Department. I tried over and over calling but he would not answer and I left messages but he would not return my calls.
Then I got a letter from him with my invoice and my check which he returned to me and wrote "This is Qtr Charge nothing extra is listed as you can see, next qtr will be $55.00 (more) due to higher price gas and dumping fees." So you see, he is the sneaking coward that sneaked in and got my cart without so much as any explanation WHY or anything! All I did was ask "WHY" my invoice was not what it was the last time?
I don't feel we live in a "Communist State" where you are TOLD to pay and not allowed to ASK what or why? He apparently takes offense to anyone asking anything about THEIR Service Invoices, he clearly does not have the personality to deal with customers and treat them with respect. He feels that he is doing you a favor by allowing you to buy his services! I have to wonder if he is a legitimate business and has the proper license to provide a trash service as he has done for years? He has since picked up the trash next door and he pulled in very fast and literally ran to get the cart and empty it into his truck and he and his wife ran to get in and then speeded very fast to leave ny neighbors drive as they shown they did not want to confront me or talk to me, just more of their COWARDLY and DISRESPECTFUL actions!
