I was sent by priceline.com, an email on Friday April 15th at 4:35pm. The title was: Instantly save $5/might on any NAME YOUR OWN PRICE hotel. A picture with the spokesman holding a sign saying "48 hours only" was next to the title. The copy read... JUST NAME YOUR OWN PRICE for any city and we'll add $5/night up to 5 nights ($25 total). That's on top of our normal savings of up to 60% off. Hurry, this offer ends in 48 hours. Sale Discount: $5/night up to 5 nights. Good for: Any city, any star level. Sale ends: Sunday, april 17 11:59pm, book this sale at priceline.
NOWHERE in this email does it say you have to register and when I made the two reservations with priceline on Friday night, I noticed that there was no credit. I called priceline on Sat. Morning and I spoke with a frontline person as well as "Herb" the manager. It was very confusing. They both said that I was looking for the $50 credit (when the email said maximum of $25) and the front girl said that my one reservation did have the credit (she said $10) but the other reservation did not apply. She was very confusing so I asked to speak to the manager and he said I had to register to get the credits for each discount. Again, the advertising via this email is very misleading. I would like my $10 credit from priceline and clarity in their advertising. As consumers using the internet, we are open to all these emails that offer things if we use their services. I am hoping that these offers and these companies are being closely watched as the service for most of the companies out there seems to be getting worse and worse.
