I signied up CDWS in 7/11/09. I filed a claim on 9/15/10 and was very satisfied with the results. The Good Year Manager stated that he ususally has to fight for the consumer for services with these warranty companies. On 1/15 my starter stopped working and I had the car towed to Good Year, Advance Car Care, in Lake Forest, CA. When they sent the claim, the company asked for my maintenance records from the time I purchased the warranty. I sent all I had in my possession, but the repair shop was sent a Closed Claim Report #56839 stating the claim was closed for lack of maintenance by me. What has maintenance have to do with a broken starter? The Manager stated that my car is in excellent condition, except for the starter. I am a 73 year old woman, who lives on S.S. And I took out this warranty so I would not have to worry about keeping my car in good repair. It is extremely unfair to deny me this claim after all the payments I have made to them. ($1,400). I am now out $348.21, plus a rental car for the day. Please help me in getting the service I paid for.
