CDWS - General Warranty Services - Consumer Direct Warranty Services - MEPCO - Direct Protect Warranty Purchased a Warranty that is "USELESS"

I received numerous calls stating that "your factory warranty is about to expire". I finally purchased this warranty with the impression that it will cover any major expenses on my vehicle in case it breaks down.

In August the transmission on my truck went out. I followed the instructions and took my vehicle to an ASE certified repair facility.

After some search I was able to locate all of the maintenace records for the vehicle since the purchase of the warranty. I faxed all of this paper work to Claim Services, only to be told repediately that it was hard to read and to please fax again and again.

After the adjuster was finally happy with all of my maintenance records, a request for diagnostic of the transmission was sent to the repair facility. What this actually means is, I had to approve the repair facility to remove and completely disassemble my transmission for what they call "reasonable access" that resulted in a $750 charge that is only covered in the event of an approved claim.

I approved this diagnostic of my transmission. A private insurance investigator was sent to the repair facility by the warranty company. According to him, the nature of the failure was driveline yoke / balance ring. Since this was a non-covered component that they aledge caused the damage, none of the covered componets are covered either.

Now I have a truck sitting in pieces, a warranty that isn't worth the paper its written on, and bill from the repair facility for $750 for the tear down of the transmission. This entire process took nearly a month to complete to tell me that my claim has been denied.

According to the contract, it's now to late for me to get my money back. I still have to pay my monthly payments for this warranty. Now I'm forced to take out a loan to fixed my vehicle even though it's under warranty, or at least what I thought was a warranty.

Buyer Beware!!!
