I have a VCS 6005 grill! I'm about to double the size of my deck AND put in an outdoor kitchen with two full size grills! My first choice: another vcs 6005 grill from Vermont Castings. However, my existing grill has a knob assembly that is absolutely stuck and breaks the knobs when you try to turn it. The ONLY parts suppliers I could find were in Connecticut. I called Shawn Grant of Connecticut Appliance and Fireplace Distributors who took pity on me and GAVE ME the knob - it was worth the 140 mile round trip as these guys knew their stuff and they're a top notch outfit - very professional, nice guys!!! The advice was to try 3-in-1 oil or WD 40! I tried it and broke another knob - it's still stuck! Is there a workable solution to this problem because several knobs are showing signs of this problem from time to time and one seems to be permanently stuck. Before I buy another Vermont Castings 6005 grill I've got to have a solution!!
