BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUDULENT BY MID-CITY GYMI would like to report a recent incident at Mid City Gym 345 West 45 street New york, NY 10036 on Nov 26th (10:30pm).
I signed up original contract form for 10 month services at a Rate of $200 (Paid in Full) on Nov 26th. I submitted my contract to Mr. Nelson and request him to pass this contract to Mr. Steve. He inform me that he is in great position to set up this account. Mr. Nelson asks me to add few things but I refused sign any other term beside the one I submitted. After few minutes I received the copy of contract. I was highly surprised, that Mr. Nelson has switched original contract to Fraudulent Contract without my permission by Making a false representation about a fact and misled. I asked, what happen to the original contract Mr. Nelson responded that he ripped and then tried bait and switch fraudulent sales tactic that is punishable by US law. According to contract, I can cancel my membership within three days. My second day today and second unsuccessful attempt. I was told by staff that he can't help me because he did not sold me this membership. I will have to come back on monday.
I just don't want to feel trapped by any gym and wait for them to sell my account to collection agency and get paid illegally.
