I've been a victim of Sprint's lying sales representatives and bait and switch policy. My contract had run out and I was on a month to month payment basis with a plan that I liked.
Sprint offered me the same plan with two additions if I would sign on for another two years. The additions were a reduced monthly rate and a second line. I was told that I could keep my Fair and Flexible feature: $5.00 for each 100 minutes I went over.
When my first bill arrived I spoke to a representative and discovered that I'd been lied to. I had over 200 minutes at 40 cents minute overage charges. I told him I wanted the plan that I had been promised. He said they could no longer offer me that option since I had a second line and I could switch to a significantly more expensive plan that would 'meet my needs'. I told him that "This is NOT what I'd been promised."
To try to compensate, I was told that I would be given 100% adjustment on my overage charges. Again I was lied to by the representative (retention department supervisor). I was given 50% adjustment and told again to switch to a significantly more expensive plan.
I don't see how Sprint can continue these fraudulent practices. It will cost me another $150 for each line to get out of my contract; even though it was not the contract I agreed to.
They told me the phone conversations were recorded. When I asked them to play them back so they could see that I was lied to they said they couldn't do that since they were for training purposes.
Truly disgusting behavior!
