Washing Machine Repair tech causes water leak and damages hardwoods and ceiling!

To whom it may concern:

On 10/19/10 I had this company come out to my house to fix an issue with a front loading washer.

The problem with the wash was that it would not spin and drain, there was not any leaks and the washing machine sits on a drain pan in the utility closet.

During the repair and after a couple of hours, the tech determined that a computer board needed to be replaced. He told us the cost and, bought the part and came back to replace it, the cost for replacing it was $280 and was paid by check.

While the repair was happening, the tech somehow spilled copious amounts of water out of the washing machine that spilled onto a tile floor and did not clean it up as he went. As a result, water drained under a base board into the master bedroom and ultimately leaked through the ceiling downstairs and created a water spot. Since the water also ran under the baseboard it caused some boards from the hardwoods in the master bedroom to lift up from the moisture.

As the guy finished up he cleaned up the water and left and my wife noticed that some water was leaking from the ceiling downstairs. She immediately called customer service from Appliance Pro experts and explained the situation. She spoke to a lady named Jodi whom was very nice and apologized for the problem. She said that she would have a manager call us back ASAP.

Several days went by and no call, I followed up with three other phone calls without a call back from management and finally after threatening to file a complaint with the BBB I got a call back on 11/1.

The manager was very rude to me told me that there was no way the tech did that and that I was a liar and trying to make over on their company. This is simply not true and there wasn't any leaks from the washing machine. The issue was caused by the techs negligence and letting water spill all over the floor and under the base boards.
