Late fee

We had a late fee charged on our March mortgage payment. When we called customer sevice they said they had received our check and would remove the late fee. When we received our April bill the late charge was still outatanding we called again. Customer service said our Feb. Payment was late the check was date and mailed on Jan 26, they said it was received Feb. 28 therefore a $35.00 late fee was applied. After I sugested that the check may have been miasplaced at the bank and not taken 32 days by mail to get there she still refused to remove the late fee. I asked to speak with her supervisor and after 10 min. I had no success with this supervisor to remove the late fee. I told her that over 40 years we had not missed or had a late payment on any of our mortgages, but she replied that our payment history was just under 2 years so the late fee stood and she had no authority to remove it. When I asked who I could speak with who had the authority she said there was no one else iI could talk to. The people I delt with were rude and unable to help there customers.
