I purchased an upgraded LG dishwasher in August. The day before Thanksgiving, while guests were arriving for the Holiday weekend, I was doing a final cleanup, I received an error message on the dishwasher. The repair man replaced a part. This past June, again, I got an error message. The water wasn'tdraining. While replacing the pump, the repairman, he was telling me that I probably wasn't rinsing the dishes properly and got food caught in the bottom of the dishwasher. Finally, when the pump was removed, he had to take back his words. The pump was extemely defective. Currently, this past Tuesday 08-17-10, I get another error message on my dishwasher. Again, the water wasn't drainig. This time, I have a dinner party of 8 coming this weekend. I call the LG company and speak with the manager. He talked down to me and my husband. He said a repairman would come out next Monday. I related to the company that I have had this dishwasher for a year.in this year, it never worked properly. At times, I would have to take the dishes out and wash them by hand. I never could depend on the dishwasher, at crucial times, it broke down. I don't want the dishwasher repaired, I want a new dishwasher. The warrantly will be up and then I wil have to pay constantly to have it repaired. Pluys the fact that it never really worked right in the frst place. The company refuses to work with me on replacing the dishwasher. It makes no sense to purchase a brand new dishwasher and never to have it work properly and constanly wait for a repairman to come out. I checked online and found similair complaints to mine with other consumers on the LG company. I don't want this dishwasher. It is obviously defected. I will constanly have problems. At this time, I am very angry with LG for the wayI have been treated and would like to have my money back and get another brand of dishwasher.
