Phoenix Consumer Services
Promised me a major credit card then ripped me off for $129.95

After having some credit problems from an accident, and things out of my control, I was left with bad credit. A friend of mine bought a credit card from a company for almost $200.

Initially, it sounded ridiculous to "buy" a credit card, but when you are desperate to re-build your credit to buy a house in the future, you become a little desperate.

My friend was not scammed. I had just been notified via telephone in August that phoenix consumer services, or pcs, was offering the same type of deal for only $129.95. It would be taken out of my checking account and then in 14 business days I would receive a credit card with a $500 minimum limit with no annual fees and a low, low interest rate!

I was told that I would also receive information every month on how to build my credit score.

I received a little postcard from "pcs" thanking me for my purchase and that they had taken the $129.95 out of my account. They also had a toll free telephone number to their company and the National Fraud Center's number below.

After seeing that they enclosed the National Fraud Center's number, I felt that it was not a scam.

After calling several times and having promised to get my credit card in one week, two weeks, etc... I finally called and threatened to call National Fraud. Being very rude, they promised again that it would only be a few more weeks.

I just got their package in the mail, yesterday, and it is not a credit card.instead, it's an offer for a visa or mastercard with over $200 in fees! Also, pcs offers a 60 day money back guarantee, if I am denied from 3 credit card sources. Here is the big fraud, they must have the 3 denial letters along with a written request for a refund within the 60 days from the date purchased, but it took them OVER 60 DAYS TO SEND IT!!!

I am completely enraged! I always thought I was a very cautious consumer, and would never fall for anything ridiculous or be scammed out of money! I never even listen to telemarketers offers, and know already that if it sounds too good to by true—then it is!

However, since my friend who had just been discharged from bankruptcy, and had gotten a credit card the same way, I thought it was legit.

I will not stop at getting my money back!!! I have been lied to and deceived. I have been victim of a scam, and I will not let them keep my money!!!
