A man called me about receiving a credit card. Normally I tell them no thank you and hang up, but this guy sounded honest in his rebuttal to me, so I listened to him.
He said I would receive a credit card in 21 days with a $1500 credit limit, and with this program I would never pay another annual fee with my new credit card. All lies. I received a booklet telling me credit card companys I could call to receive a credit card from them.
I called Phoenix Consumer Services, and after being put on hold for 10 minutes and hang up on, I spoke to a superviser, who gave me 2 different names, and told me their telemarketing department would never tell anyone that. They have a department that monitors calls so they would not say things that are not true.
