City Of Los Angeles Parking Violation Bureau
I received a ticket for No Stopping/Anti-Gridlock Zone for $150.00, the sign was not visible to me as, and I later found out after receiving the ticket that the sign was posted 5 parking spaces behind

I was given a ticket for parking in a no stopping/anti-gridlock zone on the corner of Vermont/Sunset. I parked there to visit my grandson who had just had heart surgery. I had and still have no idea what anti-gridlock zone is but I do know that it is going to cost me $150.00. I am a single unemployed mom of 3, who recieves less than $1400 a month on unemployment. I looked around after receiving this ticket just to finally find a sign posted 5 parking spaces behind where I parked. Although I plan on contesting this ticket, after reading other postings I feel I may be wasting my time. I don't know if I can even ask for community service to pay for this ticket but I will contest it first and if it is not waived try to ask for some type of payment plan, or something. Well the best thing that happened is that my grandson came out of surgery okay. Thank god for that, now I just have to find out what I can do to get this ticket taken care of. Wish me luck..
