I hired Douglas Miller through an attorney website called LegalMatch.com in Sepemeber 2009 for Bankruptcy. Who ever I spoke with said I could make payments but they needed an initial payment of $ 400.00 to start proceedings. I didn't have the whole $400.00 at that monent he told me that I could make a $200.00 payment and then make payments for the remaining two hundred dollar balance before they could get started. I did, I made $ 100.00 a month payments and I emailed them on Dec 6th about an error in their statement and to ask when proceedings would start. That email was ignored. I sent another email in Jan with another question and wanted to know If I could just call them to deduct money out of my account instead of sending a check because it was taking to long for them to cash it. Still no return email.initially they told me in order to get in touch with them I needed to email them but now I tried calling them because I was getting frustrated. I left my name and number twice with no return call. Now, its February. I called and said I wanted to speak with someone about my account. They wanted to take another message and I said I would like to hold as no one returns my calls. I stayed on hold for over 6 minutes and they came back on the line and said no one was available to take my call and I said then who can take my call right now. She put me back on hold for another 5 minutes and said I needed to leave a message and they would call me back. So, I did that and in 2 minutes the secratery phoned back with an attitude. I asked when my proceedings would start and she said I had to pay the full amount which is $ 2048.00 before they could do anything. I told her that is not what was said at the beginning and my creditiors were calling and I can't get them to stop. She said that's why you refer them to us. I told her I was filing bankruptcy because I don't have money to pay them and I would not be able to pay them the full amount which is why I asked about a payment option up front. I also said that you need to file soon because I'm about the have them contact my job. She said, well ma'me I don't know what to tell you. I paid them over $ 600.00 and I have full receipts for the payments and I told her I wanted my money back so I could hire a different attorney to do the job and she said I had 72 hours to cancel for a full refund. I told her that's fine and dandy but the 72 hours would have been up in Septmeber 2009. She said I don't know what to tell you. We hung up. Im so tired of being ripped off and it's completely amazing that our government can't control folks like this because I've lost over 30k in the past few years. Now all I can do is file bankruptcy and I can't even find a good attorney to do that for me. What is the world coming too! Please do not use these people and their license should be revolked. It's all over the internet about these people and they just keep opening up new centers under different names and keep ripping off people like you and me. Enough is enough.
