I contacted Tax Masters in February about resolving my tax debt. I spoke with a tax masters represetative by the name of Douglas Chumley. I told him my situation and he informed me that they could definately help me with my debt. I was told that I needed to send in $2200.00 in order to get the process started. Douglas informed me that he knew how hard times are with the economy being the way it is, so it would be easy on me to make payments. I began making biweekly payments of $375. They constantly sent me letters on how well the process was going with best regards from Pam Grady the manager. Once I completed the full balance the letters stopped coming. I called Douglas and he told me everything was looking good and if I was to get any mail from the IRS to not worry about it Tax Masters was taking care of everything. I had to contact Douglas several times due to lack of communication. This went on for months. Finally, in May I received a letter stating they were filing bankruptcy and to call for more information. I called several times and the phone doesn't even ring. What do i need to do? I was scammed out of $2575.00 ($375) for tax preparation that did not happen.
