Farm Bureau is the biggest opponent to making Animal Abuse to Livestock a Felony in Tennessee.
It makes no sense to have two penalties for withholding food and/or water from an animal - regardless if they are a companion animal or "livestock". Cruelty is cruelty no matter if you are 3 lbs. Or 16 hands high.
If you have Farm Bureau insurance, or even if you don't agree with their position, please contact them and let them know how you feel.
I tried to contact them several times and they would not give me the courtesy of a return phone call so I'm taking my Life, Auto and Home insurance elsewhere...
If you live in TN you can contact your legislators - both House and Senate - and ask that they support bill. Hb 3386.
