I had a home owners policy with Colorado Farm bureau Insurance for a few years I decided to switch Insurance companies I called them to cancel my policy they said just dont pay the next premium and it will cancel. Then one day I start getting letters from a collection agency saying i owed Colorado Farm bureau for 3 months of premiums I told them I cancelled the policy They informed me the policy was not cancelled untill 3 months later Now when does an insurance agency keep a policy in force when you have not paid the premiums each month for 3 months I'll bet if my house would of caught fire or i tried to make some other type of claim on the policy I had not paid on in 3 months they would of said your claim was cancelled you didnt pay the premiums Now this is on my credit report and Colorado Farm Bureau insists i still owe them the money for this policy and I can't get it removed from my credit report until I pay them and the collection agency
