A week of phone calls and run around

Let me start off by saying I'm sure somewhere tucked in there pages I did not see all there "policy's" or what not. Either way I placed a order with Zales.com. I paid for 2-day shipping. After about 5 days I called to inquire as to the status of the order. They told me that it was a "Special Order" and it would take 5-10 days before it shipped and then it would ship 2-day from that point. My wife wanted her ring sooner so I canceled the order. Nothing had been sent, Nothing had been taking out of my bank and she said I would receive the cancellation E-mail with in a couple hours. Well we went to a local jeweler and bought a ring. I come home a hour later and there's a E-mail from Zales.com saying my order shipped. I checked my bank account but nothing had been charged so I figured maybe the girl sent the wrong pre-formed E-mail. Later that night I checked my bank account again and don't you know they charged me for it.
I called them back and they said that it had shipped before they could send the cancellation to that department. Ok, So the 5-10 days that was stated earlier by them some how magically shipped a hour after I canceled it. They then told me I had to wait to get my refund until I refused the package from Fed-Ex. I was not happy about it but I can see the logic behind making sure I didn't get my money back and take the product anyway. So the package came and I refused it as I was supposed to. Never touched the package and just told the delivery driver to send it back. I checked the tracking number and it clearly states package was refused.
I called them back AGAIN, talked to a supervisor named James in there 800 number customer service. Friendly guy but stated his manager who I believe to be Mike said that they needed the package to be physically back in there hands. Ok now were pushing it. They could clearly see that the package had been refused so anything that could happen to that package would have had nothing to do with me. Again I waited and watched for it to get back to them which it did yesterday. I waited till this morning and called again and again spoke to James. He said he would sent the information up to they returns department and they would process it and that I should recieve a refund with in 30 DAYS!!! Seeing as how they have handled this from the begining I can foresee many more Phone calls and agrivation just to get my money back.
